on Domestic Asset Protection Trusts

DAPT REMEDIATION AND MALPRACTICE

Domestic Asset Protection Trusts are grossly oversold for asset protection, particularly to persons who do not reside in or have assets in a state that has adopted DAPT legislation. The firm assists clients who have been sold a DAPT in such cases to remediate and wind up the trust while maintaining the assets in an asset protected environment.

The firm also assists those persons who have been fraudulently sold a DAPT based on false promises that it would provide asset protection in their non-DAPT state with recovering their fees and other damages against the planners, trust providers, and trust companies who placed them into the DAPT.

Chris Riser and Jay Adkisson are the authors of the best selling "Asset Protection: Concepts and Strategies" (McGraw-Hill 2004). Chris Riser is currently the Chairman of the American Bar Association's Asset Protection Planning Committee.
